So when Adam posted to the board this afternoon that he would like to get together with me in downtown Vancouver for a few beers, you can bet I pinched myself.
He told me to meet him at the Sutton Place Hotel bar at 7:00 but I was about 20 minutes late. He was dressed in a Canucks t-shirt and baseball cap sitting at the bar, and he spotted me, dressed in the Blue Sun T-shirt he had sent me with Gag Reel back in February.
He rose from his stool at the bar and gave me a friendly hug and we hit it off immediatly, like we had known each other for years. I gave him a few items and he gave me some shiny things too!
We talked for at least an hour and a half before Alan arrived, fresh from the set of his movie. Then the three of us talked for another 2 hours about everything under the sun, but especially Firefly and what an impact it has made. I got to take several photos and got them to sign cartoons of themselves for me.
The three of us left the bar (Alan picked up the tab) at about 10:45 and walked down the street until we went our separate ways. Adam told me to keep in touch and that I was really part of the family and should not forget it.
